Wall

A line of frontier disks which are all of one colour. This stops the colour's access to that area.

  ||The squares marked in blue form a wall of (colour) disks. This prevents (colour) from having access to the squares marked in red.

Therefore a wall is generally considered undesirable. However in some circumstances a wall can be used to the advantage of a player. This is explained in Leader's Flat Wall Theory.
