Emmanuel Lazard

Emmanuel Lazard was the second president of the French Federation of Othello. He succeeded Bernard Daunas and was succeeded by Emmanuel Caspard.

He is the author of the program Yapp (different from Papp; a pairing program by Thierry Bousch) and designed the liveothello website (http://www.liveothello.com/livegames.php).

French champion 1985 and 2009 (this is a record: he won his second title 24 years after the first one), second in 1984 and 2004, third in 1993, not to mention several national team titles.

Winner of the Paris EGP 1997 and 4th place European Grand series 1997.

He directed the world championship in 1988, 1989 (with Clarence Hewlett), 1990, 1992, 1993 (with Graham Brightwell), 1994, 1995.

He was assistant tournament director in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

He was table judge at the WOC in 1991, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003

WOC participations:
1985, 1997, 2004, 2005.

He also is the co-author with Marc Tastet of an initiation book "Othello".
