Benkt Steentoft lives in Stockholm, Sweden. Chairman in the World Othello Federation (WOF) since 2005. Council member in the Swedish Othello federation since 1988

Benkt have played Othello since 1986. Winner of 12 Swedish local tournaments. Winner of Stockholm Open 1991 and 2001. No. 3 in the Swedish Championship 2000 and 2001. No. 3 in the Nordic Championship 1993.

Played in WOC New York (no. 21) 2001.

Tournament Director of the World Championship in Stockholm 2003, Reykjavik 2005 and Greece 2007. Head Tournament Director for World Championship since 2006. Has been Tournament Director for the Swedish Othello Federation since 1986. Have arranged over 200 tournaments in different games and sports. Have been TD in other games (Rummikub, Go, Abalone, Carcassonne), and arrangeur of sports events (Floorball).

Arrangeur together with Henry Aspenryd for Stockholm EGP and the Othello Barberque.

Was table judge at the World championship 2004 and 1990.

Plays online at vog (nick: abderitisk), kurnik (nick: knebt) and blip.se (senapsfrö).

Is creator of the boardgame Regoot 9.

Plays a lot of games in a lot of sites. Othello, Carcassonne, Rummikub, Abalone, Ticket to ride and Go are my favourite games.
