The Othello wiki book project is growing up, because more contributors add new pages. Every player always own information which may find interest for the othello comunity. But there also are a few contributors who link to virus-content pages. The administrator and me try to clean spamed pages, but can not check all the pages. Please inform us if you see spamed pages.
Due to a lot of spam, the main-page has been blocked, so that only users with sysop rights can change it. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the main-page, just leave them here, and we will try to implement them. --kim 04:04, 31 Dec 2004 (CET)
Good decision, Kim; even if we block spamer IP address, it is annoying to waste the time to revert vandalised pages instead of editing new contents. - Andriani-.
Aha, somewhere to stick in suggestions :) .Is there any way to stop the book image on the front page being a link? It makes it difficult to tell what you're clicking on. ~ Lark ascending 06:51, 4 Jul 2006 (CEST)
Is it possible that with the 'Random page' link - the possibility of the page displayed being a player is lowered? --David 03:54, 23 Jul 2006 (CEST)
Hello. In the article about reversi at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reversi you can enter a diagram writing something like this:
{{Reversi diagram small|=
| tcenter
|
|=
1 | | | | | | | | |=
2 | | | | | | | | |=
3 | | | | | | | | |=
4 | | | |O|X| | | |=
5 | | | |X|O| | | |=
6 | | | | | | | | |=
7 | | | | | | | | |=
8 | | | | | | | | |=
a b c d e f g h
|
Starting position

}}
You can see it better in that page, by clicking in the editing button. I think it would be a easy way to enter reversi diagrams. Could be this implemented here? Jorge 18:28, 9 Sep 2006 (CEST)
It appears there are several images on this site which do not not meet the required copyright status. These probably should be removed. --Geoff 10:06, 2 Mar 2010 (CET)
What do you mean ? Which images ? Give precise exemples...
Most of the images are taken from personal tournaments collections, published by their authors in the wiki or with their accordance, or the photos are published elsewhere on differents websites or Facebook, Picasa albums, without any copyright notices. Then there is no legal copyright in the sense that you mean. The true copyrighted pictures MUST have precise criterias; the proof that their authors have paid rights and registered their photos to claim their ownership, and they have noticed them on their webpages. On the internet, the true copyrighted materials are very rares, and their owner don't publish them on the internet which is by essence a public place...
Anyone claiming any copyrighted material MUST PROOF IT ! Without legal proof, there will be no deletion allowed. It would be a form of censorship which is not accepted rule for an open project.
