Peter Bhagat
From The Othello Wiki Book Project

Peter Bhagat was one of the top British players of the 20th century.
He was a member of the UK team that won the World Team Championship in 1988 and 1989.
He is the only player to have won the Cambridge Open four times.
He also won the European Grand Prix in 1987 and 1990.
Surprisingly, he won the UK National Championship only once, in 1987.
There are three Othello concepts named after Peter Bhagat; unfortunately none of them are particularly meritorious.
The opening 1f5 2d6 3c5 4f4 5e3 6c6 7d7 is called the Bhagat opening.
A pattern edge such as that shown in the North below is called a Bhagat edge.
A Black move such as g8 is known as a "Bhagat unwedging move".
