Jacques Ovion, organizer til mid-90's (mainly at the game of bridge), won seven reversi/Othello tournaments, including two minor-considered national titles. At least once each of the four decennies, found himself best over Othello players in the same age group.

• Opening style : his best ever result in the modern era involved using the parallel because Jacques never managed to remember trivial lines ;-))) In elder eras, he was credited of the gambersi invention but unsuccesfully claimed his early discovery of the Stoner trap in the 1977 nationals.
