The above is based on the current scoring system. It seems another point system was used back in 1987 with following results:
1. Bhagat 180
2. Piau 160
3. Brusca / Ralle 90
This scoring system was based on the Formula 1 system in operation at the time but multiplied by 10 to enable ties to be resolved
A victory was 90, a 2nd place 60, a 3rd place 40, 4th place 30, 5th place 20, and 6th place 10.
