Dan and Kathe Spracklen are the most famous programers of many of the strongests chess (Sargon, Fidelity electronics chess programs) and othello (Reversi Sensory Challenger) programs in the 80's.

They competed for their last World Computer Chess championship in 1992 and stopped chess programming.
